- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆They do not take sexual assault victims seriously. We already know that many sexual assaults go unreported because the victim feels he or she won't be believed. After dealing with CHPD, I now understand why. They do not respond to phone calls or emails. Their "victim advocate " tells you to quit obsessing and move on. They tell you to be patient as though you're waiting for your birthday. No detective, I wasn't being impatient because I was waiting for Christmas but rather I wanted to move back into my apartment but couldn't. You were taking 18 days to arrest the rapist that lived below me. They send 5 officers to state st you like a circus exhibit but none of them are allowed to question the rapist who was right downstairs. They send them for show, not substance. The detective told BCI I couldn't ID my rapist but I did. I had known him for 22 months. The detective told BCI he couldn't arrest because he had "incomplete information" but he never returned my calls or contacted me for "complete" information.
